OUR STORY

     Larry Massenburg had a great life... a successful career traveling the world as a hairstylist/beauty educator, new home, a beautiful wife and terrific friends. I was living a lifestyle that most young men my age would have enjoyed, and I couldn't have been happier.

But the direction of my life changed drastically over a short period of time. Slowly but surely an alarm started to sound telling me that my body was not functioning properly. Crazy symptoms was happening, such as a electrical shock that went down my back and burning in my arms. To make a long story short, a sickness that was developing in my body called sarcoidosis was a change in life that I did not see coming. Not only was it sarcoidosis, it was near-sarcoidosis, which is a auto immune disease of the nervous system. This autoimmune disease sarcoidosis usually is identified when you mention the name Bernie Mac and NFL great Reggie White who both lost their battles to this disease.

Neuro-sarcoidosis had me on my death bed and wheelchair-bound, but with my faith in God and an education for nutrition I was able to turn my situation around, and defeat a disease that medical science says is incurable. After some of the toughest years of my life of pain and suffering, it has led me to the realization of my life's calling and that is to show people from all walks of life that with a belief in a higher power, faith and education you can overcome anything.
